Basically anywhere you might have to manoeuvre the bike in a sub-optimal position. The aforementioned <a href=\"https:\/\/www.balfesbikes.co.uk\/bikes\/electric-bikes\/specialized-turbo-vado-sl-40-electric-hybrid-bike-2023-in-smoke-black__31224\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Specialized Turbo Vado SL<\/a> features a smaller battery\/motor than it\u2019s full-powered sibling the Turb<a href=\"https:\/\/www.balfesbikes.co.uk\/bikes\/electric-bikes\/specialized-turbo-vado-40-step-through-electric-bike-2023-in-black__30196\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">o Vado <\/a>\u2013 this is one of the reasons that it is so much lighter overall.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Being lighter in weight helps to offset the reduction of range that comes from the smaller battery however, and on many bikes you can add a range extender (usually an extra external battery) if desired.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>If you are someone who wants to work on their fitness, but would like a bit of extra assistance for your daily journeys then the lightweight option could be the way to go. The smaller battery\/motor does mean slightly less power but makes the bike feel overall far more like a non-electric bike and provides a great workout if that\u2019s what you\u2019re looking for. Ideal for those who don\u2019t have any showering facilities at work, or might be saving your legs for other things. Load up your bike with racks\/panniers if compatible and take everything you might need along for the ride. Or get that shopping home in record speed!
