At Balfe’s our colleagues are our greatest asset. We are all deeply passionate about bikes & cycling and want to encourage everybody to share our enthusiasm for bikes and cycling, whether that be the toddler embarking on their first steps towards independence on a balance bike or the commuter who we’ve fixed their broken chain to enable them to get to work on time.

We are an ambitious team, having recently opened our fourth store we have plans to open further stores to service the London commuter and family/leisure market over the coming years and are always looking out for great colleagues to join us on our journey.

Many of our colleagues have been with us for much of our journey since Richard opened the first store in 2007.

          We are recruiting for experienced senior mechanics across our London & Reigate stores. Following recent expansion, we have experienced a significant increase in demand for servicing and repairs across all our stores and are looking for experienced mechanics to join our growing team. The ideal applicants will need to hit the ground running, with previous workshop experience being necessary.           Apprentices:

          Nothing suits our business better than enthusiastic, well trained staff who have been with us for a number of years. We are nothing without our great, committed colleagues and learning the trade the right way is key to becoming one.

          We are always keen to find enthusiastic and dedicated cyclists who may be looking for a career change! We would like to hear from you if becoming a bicycle mechanic is something you think about every day. Send us an email outlining why you think that you are the person we would be looking to train. We can progress your career within our business in many directions. This opportunity suits the mechanically minded, someone who is working on their own bike, fixing the bikes of friends and family. We would pay for training and eventually we shall progress you to Cytech 2 or 3 which is a nationally recognised qualification but more importantly you shall gain a thorough understanding of the bicycle industry and the complexities in the world of bicycle mechanics! If you have a passion for bicycles and want to work in our industry, and are willing to commit to Balfe's Bikes then we would love to be able to offer you a career in return.
