Muc-Off No Puncture Hassle Inner Tube Sealant 300ml

Season:All Year Round

Brand:Muc-Off

Code:20216

The Muc-Off No Puncture Hassle Inner Tube Sealant is easy to install and seal holes in inner tubes ensuring that your ride is uninterrupted.

The cutting edge molecules seal holes in tubes of up to 4mm ensuring that your ride is uninterrupted. Their proprietary water-based non-hazardous formula was developed specifically for use with inner tubes and is compatible with a wide range of bikes. Whether you’re commuting, out on a backpacking adventure, hitting the trails and everything in between, you're covered.

Suitable for inner tubes with Schrader Valves and Presta Valves with removable valve core only.

Features:

  • Puncture prevention for inner tubes
  • Suitable for MTB, road, eBikes, commuter, urban, folding & touring
  • Seals holes in tubes up to 4mm
  • Works on multiple punctures
  • Does not dry out
  • Lasts the life of the inner tube
  • Contains anti-corrosion inhibitors
  • Contains cutting-edge molecules to help seal holes quickly and effectively
  • Water-soluble
  • Non-Hazardous
  • Works in temperatures from -15°C to +50°C

For inner tubes using a Schrader Valve:

  • Remove the dust cap from your valve and deflate the air from your tyre then spin your wheel so your valve is between 9 and 12 o’clock position
  • Turn and pull up the plastic tube from the top of the bottle
  • Remove the black valve core remover tool from the top of the tube then remove your valve core from the valve stem. (Insert the two-pronged tool into the top of Schrader valve and unscrew anti-clockwise to extract the core. Keep your valve core safe whilst filling)
  • Now fit the end of the filling tube onto the valve stem and with the bottle upside down, squeeze gently on the bottle to dispense the desired amount of sealant into the valve. Ensure sealant flows smoothly into the valve. (Fill the recommended amount for your inner tube using the dosage scale on the side of the bottle)
  • Remove the filling tube from the valve and wipe away any sealant residue
  • Re-install valve core using the tool and tighten clockwise until tight then inflate the tyre to the desired pressure in accordance with your manufacturer’s recommendations
  • Give your wheel a spin and you're good to go

For inner tubes using a Presta Valve:

  • If you are filling No Puncture Hassle Inner tube sealant into a Presta valve you must first check if you have a removable valve core. (Not all Presta valve cores are removable)
  • You can check your Presta valve has a removable core by identifying if the sides of the valve core have a flat edge. Presta valves with a non-removable core will not have flat edges
  • If it does have flat edges you can remove the core by using a Presta valve core remover tool or a set of thin nose pliers to remove the core by unscrewing anti-clockwise until it comes loose out of the valve stem. Keep your valve core safe whilst filling
  • Now fit the end of the filling tube onto the valve stem and spin your wheel so that your valve is at the 6 o’clock position. With the bottle upside down, squeeze gently on the bottle to dispense the desired amount of sealant into the valve.

  • Is Muc-Off suitable for tubular race tyres with latex tubes?
Question asked by Alan Mathews on 31/07/2022 08:56:32
    • Tire sealant does usually not react well with latex tubes and can cause the tube walls to stick together. Especially if the tire is allowed to go flat.
    • When the tire is re-inflated then the tube will tear where the anti-puncture liquid has stuck both tube walls together.
    • Sealant also adds weight, this is not what you need in your high-end race bike tire.
    • Sealant also will not spread evenly in a tubular tire so it and hence the wheel will be out of balance; this is especially the case when the sealant starts to go hard inside the tube and doesn’t spread as easy due to centrifugal force of the spinning wheel.
    • Sealant in case of tubular tire will block the valve, especially if, when parked the valve is not positioned at the top of the wheel. If the valve is positioned at the bottom of the wheel when parked, then the sealant will cover the valve hole and solidify whilst the bike is sitting for any length of time. This will make it impossible to re inflate.
