  • Can't say enough about this shop. Got everything you need and the staff are phenomenal. Bought a specialized levo SL from Dan, who was very generous with his time and knowledge. Steve then helped, with some degree of patience 😁, setting up the finance etc. Finally the bike was still boxed up, so Nick, with some assistance from Ash, built the thing pronto so I could take it away with me.   • I had done some research for my ideal bike and Balfes had the one I wanted. Not the closest to my home town of Brighton!! The staff are AMAZING! Really know their bikes, particularly Sam. Popped in to the showroom but they didn't have the 1 I wanted to try but it was in the warehouse. They built it for me to try. Needless to say, I loved it! The whole process was completely painless, and they didn't make me feel like an idiot. I would wholeheartedly recommend buying a bike from Balfes! They have a good range of children's bike too, which I really approve of. They are quite happy for you to try before you buy. Wish there was a shop in Brighton!! Excellent, excellent, excellent!!!!

Dan is the standout for me, he worked on my BMX and resolved a number of really critical issues. Very knowledgeable bloke who I have full faith in for future work.

  • We have just been to Balfe's Bikes to try out an e bike which we had seen on the website. They were extremely helpful and Ruth guided us through the test ride and then purchase. All the other staff we encountered were also very courteous and helpful which made the whole experience a pleasure. We recommend them.
