Adaptability and Design
The valves are highly adaptable, working on both Presta and Schrader-drilled rims thanks to the provided conic adapter. On Presta-drilled rims with a 6.5mm valve hole, the flat rubber valve base may ensure perfect air-tightness, though the conic adapter may be required depending on the rim shape. For Presta-drilled rims with a wider inside hole or Schrader-drilled rims with an 8.5mm hole, the conic adapter should be fitted before insertion.
Effetto Mariposa uses an aluminium alloy that is designed to bend before breaking, providing reliability alongside the lightweight construction required by modern rims. The valve features a removable core for easy mechanism replacement and the fitting of tubeless-specific Caffélatex Valve Extensions. Furthermore, the valve cap functions as a valve core key.
Compatibility
This 100mm length valve is designed for rim profiles between 61 and 90mm. When combined with Effetto Mariposa's 35mm or 45mm Caffélatex Valve Extensions, these valves can be fitted to virtually any rim on the market.
