Whilst Genesis is always interested in new developments, fresh thinking, and the next wonder material, it is well known that they love steel. Its superb strength-to-weight ratio, exceptional stiffness, and outstanding ride quality make it a timeless choice. This Croix De Fer frameset sees the return of Reynolds 931 stainless steel to the lineup. A superbly stiff material giving a unique spring to your pedal stroke, 931 is also incredibly corrosion resistant.
A tapered head tube adds further stiffness to the front end whilst a threaded T47 bottom bracket shell increases surface area allowing for lighter tubes whilst opening up chainset compatibility. The Croix De Fer 931 frameset is a superb base for a dream gravel build. At Genesis, they love a custom build, quirky or otherwise. For many years they have offered framesets as part of their product line and the latest generation of the Croix De Fer is no exception with three options to choose from. The Croix De Fer 931 is the hero, providing the ultimate gravel riding material considering ride quality, longevity, strength, and stiffness.
Beefed Up
A tapered head tube with external headset cups stiffens up the front end and accepts an Amplitude G200 carbon gravel fork. Maximum tyre size matches the frame at 700 x 47mm.
Internal Routing
Adaptable internal cable routing allows for a consistent look to the 931 with a wide variety of drivetrains. Like all Croix De Fers, the 931 frameset can also take a dropper seatpost.
Big Treads
Stick in voluminous 700 x 47mm tyres to maximise traction and comfort, or run a slender 38mm slick for a capable all-road option. The 931 accepts a plethora of modern tyres.
Precious Metal
