Michelin has updated its DH Racing Line, building on its success in the UCI Downhill World Cup. The 2.0-generation tyres -MICHELIN DH16, DH22, and DH MUD - offer targeted performance for downhill riders.
All 2.0 generation tyres now feature a new 55/120TPI dual-ply casing for improved resilience, reducing flex during landings for better re-acceleration and cornering stability. A double woven nylon ply increases puncture resistance, while the tyres are 11% lighter than previous versions, enhancing efficiency.
Magi-X technology is used across all models too, providing superior grip in varying conditions (even at lower temperatures), increasing confidence and cornering speed. This new range delivers a 19% efficiency gain over the previous generation.
MICHELIN DH MUD is specifically recommended for mud and soft ground. Thanks to the Cuttable Blocks technology used for its tread blocks, the DH MUD covers a broad spectrum of conditions.
On soft, loose ground, or in the case of a thin layer of mud, the blocks can be re-cut to optimise their grip and performance. For deeper mud, however, its tread is ideally suited as it is.
