With Pre-Order, you can purchase the latest items added to our store in advance of them arriving with us.
Your Pre-Order is prioritised (at no additional charge); meaning that as soon as the product arrives with us, we can wrap it straight back up; ready for collection via Click & Collect or despatch to you — it often never even hits the stock room shelves!
With Pre-Launch, the date when we expect to receive the product ourselves is still a little too hazy to be confident in accepting Pre-Orders.
So, instead, you can submit your email address against the item you are interested in and we will email you as soon as stock arrives on the system.
Estimated Delivery & Collection Dates are given on Pre-Order and Pre-Launch products. They are for indication purposes only and can change at any time without notice.
The dates we provide are based on indications given by our suppliers. Whenever we get updated information from our suppliers we will endeavour to update the Estimated Delivery & Collection Dates provided on product pages.

Brand:Speedplay

The Wahoo Speedplay Comp is part of their Advanced Pedal System and is the only dual-sided road pedal.
Wahoo Speedplay advanced pedal systems optimise performance through adjustability and increased power transfer, reduced weight and improved aerodynamics.
The Speedplay offers several advantages besides being dual-sided, enhanced walkability, an aerodynamic profile, a best-in-class stack height/power transfer for starters but it doesn't stop there. An independent 3-axis cleat offers plenty of adjustability and rotational free float allows up to 15degrees of micro-adjustment topped off with exceptional cornering clearance.
With the integration of the cleat with a lower pedal profile, Speedplay's aerodynamic system platform decreases drag. delivering faster rides without upping power output.
Durability has been improved with a revised pedal body and triple-sealed bearings for minimal maintenance. The installation has been made easier, a standard hex wrench will do the job.
It sounds like you're experiencing unexpected release from your Wahoo Speedplay Comp Road Pedals, which can be unsettling — especially during out-of-saddle efforts. Let’s go through what’s likely happening and how to fix it:
The Speedplay Comp uses a dual-sided entry system with adjustable float, but the release tension is not adjustable on the Comp model — unlike the higher-end Zero and Aero models.
So, if your feet are releasing too easily:
It’s probably due to incomplete engagement or excess float, not tension you can dial in.
The standard Speedplay Comp cleats have a 15° release angle, which is quite generous.
✅ Solution:
Make sure the cleats are fully engaged by pushing straight down until you hear/feel a firm “click.”
Try lubing the cleats/pedal interface with dry PTFE lube (NOT grease) if engagement feels sticky or weak.
Check for cleat wear or loose mounting — worn or incorrectly installed cleats can release prematurely.
Misaligned cleats can:
Allow your foot to twist during hard pedaling
Cause accidental disengagement, especially when climbing or sprinting
Double-check the cleat bolts are tight and correctly aligned.
Make sure the cleat shims and base plate are properly stacked if using the included 3-bolt adapter.
Adjust float range using the two limit screws on the cleats if you're twisting too much side-to-side.
If you’re a strong rider or used to high-tension pedals (e.g., Shimano SPD-SL yellow/red or Look Keo), the Comp may simply feel too light.
✅ Consider upgrading to:
Speedplay Zero (adjustable tension + same cleat system)
Or use “Easy Tension” cleats only if you're a casual rider — avoid these for performance use.
Let me know what shoes you're using and I can help you check the shim/stack compatibility too.
